We have a lab planned this week and will be working on DIB 23.

Next week we will be doing scale drawing, map scale, indirect measurement and DIB 24.

We will have a test on Feb. 11, students will be able to use any notes or book.

It is important that students re-do their test/quizzes in order to help them understand their mistakes.

Welcome back to school!! I’m really excited to get back to working with students this year!

I will be sending home a new syllabus and daily procedures information sheet with the students on Thursday. (also posted below)

DIB 19 will be done in class and at home this week. It will be due Friday.

We will continue doing CRCT Journals everyday, it is important for students to have a journal and keep up with the entries each day.

This week we will be working on Multiplying and Dividing Fractions.

DIB 16 is due this Friday 12/3

We will begin working on Ratios next week.

DIB 17 is due Friday 12/10

Journals will also be checked on Friday the 20th…….20 entries.

FINAL EXAM will be on Wednesday 12/15. Study Guides will go home Monday 12/13…….we will work on the study guides in class Monday and Tuesday 12/13-12/14. Students can use any notes…..except the study guide itself…….

Thursday 12/16 students will have a chance to earn extra points by re-doing their exam.

November 8-19

Nov. 8-12: We will be working on DIB 14 and have a test over Order of Operations this Wednesday. Students will have a study guide Tuesday……we will review the study guide in class. Students may use their notes on the test.

Nov. 15-19: We will be working on DIB 15 this week. We will also be working on Adding, Subtracting, Mult. and Dividing Fractions. We will take the MAP test Nov. 17 during class.

We will take a short quiz Friday Nov. 19.

Students should be working on any Quiz or Test corrections. It is very important that students learn from their mistakes and take time to practice.

Thanksgiving Break starts November 20.

This Friday students will have a short quiz over order of operations and powers and exponents. DIB 12 will be due Friday 10/29

Next week we will be working on writing algebraic expressions and have a test next Friday 11/5. Dib 13 will be due 11/5

Students can do Measurement Quiz Corrections for FULL CREDIT! They will need to write each missed question 5 times each………….and they will get a 100!

Test Corrections can be done as well for half credit. Students will need to show their work on a separate piece of paper.
